Principal's Message
School Messenger Message from Principal White for 5/11/25:
Good evening McCardle Community! This is Principal White calling with a weekly update about some of the important events and happenings going on at McCardle for the week of May 12-16.
On Monday, Kindergarten students will go on a field trip to Save Mart and Me-N-Eds and 2nd grade students will go to Fossil Discovery Center.
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, students in grades 3-6 will take portions of the SBAC or state test. Please make sure students are well-rested and eat a nutritious breakfast each day of testing.
Tuesday WILL be early dismissal.
Wednesday evening at 5:00 PM the PTA will meet. All parents are invited to attend as we plan the end of the year events.
On Thursday, students in grades K-6 who met 100% or more of their typical growth on i-Ready in both Reading and Math will attend a special i-Ready celebration.
Also on Thursday, the boys softball team will play at Wolters. Go Mustangs!
All Library books are due this Friday as the Library will close for the Book Fair and end of the year procedures and inventory.
Summer Academy will be held June 16 – July 3 at McCardle. Please note that TK – 5th grade will be at McCardle and 6th grade students will be at Tioga Middle School. We look forward to many students attending Summer Academy and it’s not too late to return your enrollment form!
Summer Camps will run July 14 – August 1. Make sure your primary cellphone # is correct in ATLAS so you can receive a registration text message beginning May 20th. Once you receive the text invitation, you will clink on your child’s personal link which will show you program results in the order closest to where you live and that match your child’s grade level. Summer camps are free! See the brochure advertising all Summer Camps that was sent home last week for more information.
Some upcoming dates that you might want to mark on your calendar include the Success Together Family Book Club on May 19, SBAC testing through May 21, Memorial Day holiday on May 26, Book Fair Week May 27-30, the Open House/Spring Fling event on May 29 at 6:00, 6th grade to Wild Waters on June 4, Volunteer Appreciation on June 5, Awards Assemblies and Hoover Graduation on June 11, and the last day of school on June 12 with 12:15 PM dismissal. Please note there will be no After School Program on the last day of school.
