School Messenger Message from Principal White for 6/2/24:

Good evening McCardle community, this is Principal White calling with a weekly update about some of the important events and happenings going on at McCardle for the week of June 3-6.

Yearbooks were distributed to students who pre-ordered last week.  There are a limited number of yearbooks still available for $25.00.  They will be sold before and after school on a first come, first served basis.

Monday is Music Mania for Grades TK-6.

Tuesday is Field Day for Kindergarten students, 6th grade will go to Wild Water Adventures, the last day of school for PreSchool, and the Volunteer Appreciation Lunch.  Tuesday evening at 8:00 PM is the graduation ceremony for Hoover High School at the Save Mart Center.  Congratulations to all the graduates!

Fourth Quarter Awards Assemblies will be held on Wednesday.  Kindergarten is at 9:45, 1st grade is 10:15, 2nd and 3rd grades are at 1:30, and 4th – 6th grades will begin at 8:30.  Parents are welcome to attend, but please remember that we will need the tables at the front of the cafeteria for students to be seated.

Thursday is the last day of school and the end of the fourth quarter.  Report Cards will be sent home on Thursday.  All students will be served a lunch prior to dismissal and ALL students will be dismissed at 12:15 PM.  There will be no After School Program on Thursday, so all students must be picked up at 12:15 PM.

We still have space available for students of all grade levels in our Summer Academy which runs June 10 – 28.  We have lots of fun planned including Fun Works and Reptile Ron.  All of this is in addition to fun learning in literacy and math.  If you are interested in having your child attend, please contact the office right away.

There are some dates that you might want to mark on your calendar and these include Back to School Night on Thursday, August 15 and the first day of school on Monday, August 19.  Classroom assignments will be posted on the Office windows on Thursday, August 15.

I want to thank everyone in the McCardle family for your part in making the 2023-2024 school year so great.  I know I speak for the entire staff when I say that we have enjoyed working as partners with you!

Thank you for tuning in for this update about our school.  If you missed any part of this message, you can find it on the McCardle website under Principal Message. Have a great night!
